OVERVIEW :

Abyssal Code is a VR puzzle game in which you take on the role of a space-time traveller who finds himself stranded in one of his HQs at the bottom of the ocean while the Kraken attacks.

GAME DESIGN :

  • Core mechanics development

  • Puzzle design and associated mechanics

  • Dynamic event systems

  • Visual and sound feedback for player actions

  • Ownership of overall vision

  • Level blockout (whitebox/greybox/blockmesh)

  • Flowchart mapping

  • Placement of interactive objects
  • Segment design and adjustments based on player interest curve
  • Level Art and lighting (baked and dynamic)
  • Scripted events
  • Spatial composition

PROGRAMMING :

  • Implementation of mechanics in C#

  • Implementation of a VR system (grab, move, ...ect.)

  • Gameplay scripting (interactions, triggers)

  • Creation of custom shaders

  • Create audio management system
